Framing Inspiration
For as many years as I have lived in Pittsburgh now I still have not made it to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Hopefully next year! I have framed several @pghvintagegp prints by @burtonmorrisart though including this one from 2022. I love that my customer decided on a frame featuring red “racing stripes”!

This abstract oil painting needed a frame that could work with the energy it contains. The mix of black & silver as well as its dotted texture made this frame a perfect fit. And of course we put a gold fillet inside to catch the glimmer from the gold paint!

Sometimes the back of a piece has information that needs to be visible too. No problem! We cut openings into mats for both sides of this stock certificate & ticket, making sure that all of the piece’s details on the back side could be seen when turned around.

I chose to feature this frame today because its golden swirls reminded me of rays of sunshine and it is still summer, after all! But then I paired it with mats that gave it a decidedly more autumn vibe but I guess that makes it perfect for this time of year when school is starting, there is a chill in the air in the morning, and fall is right around the corner.
