Did you know that October 27th has come to be recognized in Mexican culture as the day our deceased pets come to visit and is celebrated as part of Dia de los Muertos? I like to think that our pets can visit and check in on us whenever they want but I love the idea of there being one specific day when they all return. We are always so honored when we are asked to make memorial pieces for beloved pets who have passed on; we know how hard the loss is as we have experienced it ourselves (see the last photos for Charlie Brown & Skya, our most recent pets that have passed on) and are glad to be able to give pet parents a chance to remember them every day.

Two individuals joined forces to create something beautiful for this piece: a wide black moulding with touches of bronze and a small, champagne colored frame with leaf detailing. And just like the happy couple in the photo they are better because they found each other. I wish I could take credit for the entire design but the bride & her mother picked out the inner frame while I went in the back to print their image. That’s right, if you bring in or email over your images we can print them and use them as we design your framed piece! Need to have printing done? Contact us at design@intheframe.com

Absolutely love the vibrant colors in this lotus flower cross stitch. Lotus flowers are often thought to be a symbol of purity because they emerge from the mud with no dirt on them. Are we clever enough to have used a bright white mat because of that fact or did we do it because we just liked how it looked? Only my customer & I know for sure and I’m not telling! 🤫

No bones about it, I am very delinquent in posting for Featured Frame Friday! Allow me to make it up to you with this seasonally appropriate choice: lovely bones & skulls in a bronzed finish. Let us know if you have some artwork that would be bone-chillingly perfect for this frame!

I have lived in Pittsburgh for a while now and am still learning fascinating tidbits about the city’s history. For example, did you know that the Great Fire of 1845 was caused by Martian saucercrafts? True story. You can look it up over at @alternatehistories and if you are in Pittsburgh, check out their store on Greenfield Avenue! Don’t be surprised if you see several of their prints framed on our walls soon! Just need to figure out which one to order first.

Ask and you shall receive? Yesterday @romamoulding asked framers to name an artist whose work they would love to frame. I commented that while I had already framed some of @baron_batch ‘s artwork I was looking forward to the next piece I got to work on. Well, look what just flew into the shop! In the end we didn’t end up choosing the Roma moulding we were considering but I definitely showed a few of your gorgeous frames. Maybe on the next one! ♥️

This piece was given by the groom to his (soon to be) bride on the morning of their wedding. Working on this design for them was extra special for me for a few reasons: 1. I had taken their engagement photos, one of which is featured in the center. 2. I was taking their wedding photos in a few days. 3. I am lucky enough to have them as real-life friends!
They have been married for over a year now so clearly I am behind on posting this but still I wish them continued happiness!

A picture is worth a thousand words but if you ever need your project to say even more we can definitely help you with that! By adding custom-cut vinyl lettering we were able to make this collage of wedding images taken by the groom’s daughter even more sentimental.
